Presbytery Committees usually meet two weeks before Presbytery meetings.

The Committee remits are as follows:
REMITS OF COMMITTEES
Business Committee
- To prepare the agenda for meetings of Presbytery
- To make arrangements for Presbytery meetings
- To deal with matters of law, practice and procedure
- To deal with matters remitted by the General Assembly, other than those matters within the remit of other committees
- To put in final form matters to be taken to the General Assembly
- To nominate members of ad hoc committees
- To deal with matters which are outwith the remit of other committees
- To oversee the finances of Presbytery and receive reports from the Treasurer
- To manage communications
- To appoint a Vacancy Procedure Committee
Congregational Support Committee
- To administer the Local Church Review of congregations and report thereon to Presbytery
- To undertake mid term reviews of Congregational Action Plans
- To deal with any other matters of congregational superintendence
- To provide appropriate support to team ministries within the Presbytery
- To deal with all matters relating to Safeguarding
Faith Impact Committee
- To respond to social and community issues referred to the committee
- To be concerned with all matters of education in schools, colleges and universities
- To be concerned with matters relating to social concern in local churches
- To liaise with all chaplains with regard to community related matters
- To deal with issues of inter-faith dialogue and to promote and support local initiatives of inter-church activity
- To deal with all ecumenical issues
- To promote Christian Education for all ages.
- To inform congregations of the church’s partnership in world mission and to encourage local to local links.
- To encourage prayer for the mission and missionaries of the church throughout the world.
- To encourage churches in matters of world mission and evangelism.
Faith Nurture Committee
- To deal with all matters relating to applicants for the ministries of the church
- To deal with all matters relating to the placement of auxiliary ministers, OLMs and readers
- To appoint advisory committees to vacant congregations
- To oversee all aspects of the well-being and pastoral care of ministries
- To support the work of the Presbytery chaplains in pastoral care
- To review the Presbytery Plan annually
- To co-ordinate Worship Team and Worship Leader training
- To promote, encourage and support Vocations discernment
- To promote the ministry of health and healing
- To promote training of elders and youth workers. (Ministries already have Worship team and worship leader training)
- To encourage churches in matters of worship – resources, events.
- To deal with matters relating to the Prayer life of congregations and presbytery.
Stewardship Committee
- To propose mission and renewal allocations for congregations every year
- To promote teaching and understanding of Christian stewardship
- To administer the Quinquennial Inspection of the fabric and property of congregations and monitor the resultant action points
- To consider applications for repairs and alterations in accordance with the regulations of Presbytery and the General Trustees, as these are determined from time to time
- To deal with all matters relating to the insurance of fabric and property
- To provide advice and support to Congregational Fabric Conveners and Treasurers
- To examine annually Congregational Property Registers and Manse Condition Schedules
- To make arrangements for the annual examination of congregational accounts

- To annually examine and report on the following Congregational records:
- Communion Roll and Suplementary Roll
- Kirk Session Minute Book
- Financial Board Minute Book
- Baptismal Register
- Ministers’ Travel Log Books
- Safeguarding Records
- Data Protection checklist
NB: The Property Register and the Audited Congregational Accounts are examined by the Stewardship Committee
